Creaturas 

 

This self initiated project is ongoing exploration where traditional arts and crafts techniques such as "cartonería" in México, can be used in different, contemporary design applications

 

The project explores ways to develop functional, structural objects based on the technics used in the making of "piñatas" and the mythical hybrid creatures "alebrijes" from Mexico's folk culture by using simple materials such as recycled paper, wooden sticks, water, corn starch and acrylic paint.
